Company to Provide Geospatial Research, Intelligence, Development and Support Related to Geospatial Enterprise Services
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 27, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — �Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Army Geospatial Center (AGC) to provide geospatial research, intelligence and support related to Geospatial Enterprise Services (GES). The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of $200 million, if all options are exercised.
The AGC provides the warfighter with timely, accurate and relevant geospatial information, capabilities and domain expertise for Army Geospatial Enterprise implementation in support of unified land operations. Under the contract, SAIC will provide geospatial research, intelligence and support services, including: systems engineering and software development processes related to GES; develop, integrate and operate various intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) payload systems; joint capabilities technology demonstrations relevant to GES and command, control, communications, computers (C4) ISR requirements; and acquire, fuse and disseminate geospatial information and other sources at various echelons.
