NavCom Technology and C&C Technologies to Provide GPS Equipment and Service to the U.K. Ministry of Defence

MoD Contracts C&C Technologies for C-NAV Globally-corrected GPS

Torrance, CA. – February 12, 2004 - NavCom Technology, Inc. announced today that its strategic partner C&C Technologies, Inc. has entered into a service contract with the U.K. Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide GPS service for use in defense and government bathymetric surveying. Terms of the contract provide for C&C Technologies to supply its C-Nav GcGPS (Globally-corrected GPS) positioning services, equipment and training to the Royal Navy Hydrographic Squadron.

Through its partnership with NavCom, C&C’s C-Nav GcGPS positioning service utilizes NavCom’s StarFire Network satellite based positioning capabilities and dual frequency receivers to provide precise positioning services to the offshore exploration and marine markets. The NavCom owned and operated StarFire Network delivers reliable, real time decimeter positioning anywhere, anytime. StarFire is ideally suited for offshore work since it operates independent of distance from local ground reference stations by broadcasting precise orbit and clock corrections for every GPS satellite orbiting earth.

“The MoD was looking for a reliable and accurate positioning system. The MoD chose C-Nav because it is competitively priced and they considered it to be a much neater and technically robust solution than other DGPS systems," reported C&C's European Representative Rick Davey.

“StarFire is the world’s first truly global, real-time, high accuracy GPS positioning service. It is equally suited for the land and the marine markets, providing real-time decimeter-level accuracy utilizing C-Nav or any of NavCom’s proprietary line of high performance dual-frequency SF-series GPS receivers,” said NavCom’s Sales Manager J. Christopher Litton.

“Current users of C-Nav affirm that its increased accuracy, low cost of equipment, and worldwide correction signals make it the best positioning system on the market.”

C& C Technologies ( www.cctechnol.com), an international surveying and mapping company, known for its expertise in autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) survey services and decimeter worldwide GPS positioning services is the exclusive offshore dealer for StarFire services.

NavCom Technology, Inc., a John Deere Company (NYSE:DE), is a leading provider of advanced GPS products for OEMs, VARs and system integrators needing high performance RTK systems, global decimeter-level GPS satellite corrections, geodetic quality GPS receivers, wireless communication products and engineering consulting in the areas of precise positioning and wireless communications.
