LEUVEN (Belgium) – July , 2012- LMS International, the leading partner in test and mechatronic simulation, will conduct its annual Aerospace Conference in Toulouse, France where more than 40 industry experts will present innovative ideas about aerospace testing and simulation.
The LMS Aerospace Conference (4-5 October 2011) is an international knowledge-sharing platform for industry experts. During the conference, they collaboratively share their innovations on testing and numerical simulation approaches using LMS and LMS Samtech technologies.
World-renowned industries such as AgustaWestland, Airbus, Astrium, AVIC, Comac, EADS, Safran Group, Thales Alenia Space and UAC Irkut will present their latest applications in structural and mechatronic system simulation and test-based engineering processes, illustrating their efforts to faster aircraft development and better space risk mitigation.
“We are pleased to see the enthusiasm from our customers to present their applications,” said Dr. ir. Urbain Vandeurzen, LMS International Chairman and CEO.“While it is an important indicator about the confidence of our customers in our products, it exemplifies the partnership spirit that LMS and LMS Samtech teams are developing with them.”
In the frame of a highly competitive environment, faster development of new and innovative products and streamlined processes contribute to the growth and future development of companies.
“It is clear that the aerospace industry already uses a lot of simulation technology to minimize the amount of prototypes in the development. However, the application of next-generation systems and materials leads to a lot of uncertainty and the need of launching again new extensive testing. The evolution toward business processes that close the gap between model-based systems engineering, structural engineering and smart system testing will be paramount in overcoming future engineering challenges. We are proud our top-level customers want to share how they use LMS technologies to develop aircraft projects to maturity and how they mitigate risk in spacecraft development,” concludes Thierry Olbrechts, Director of the Aerospace Competence Center at LMS International.
