City of Charlotte, North Carolina, Implements Intergraph®'s Incident Management Software to Improve Emergency Response

Intergraph's Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and mobile technology enables Charlotte to consolidate the city's police and fire agencies, speed response

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 26, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — The City of Charlotte, North Carolina, has implemented Intergraph®'s incident management solution to improve coordination between the city's police and fire agencies and enhance emergency response. Charlotte selected Intergraph's map-based computer-aided dispatch (CAD), mobile technology, automatic vehicle location, and interoperability software.

The implementation will extend the Intergraph CAD and mobile technology already in place at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) to include call-taking and dispatch at the city's Fire Department.

"The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has a long-standing relationship with Intergraph. We are pleased to see the Charlotte Fire Department implement Intergraph's incident management solution and begin what we expect to be a long-lasting partnership," said Bill Campbell, Intergraph's Senior Vice President, Americas.

As the largest city in North Carolina serving a population of approximately 1 million, the police and fire agencies were in need of a consolidated system that could support the area's demand. Intergraph's incident management software will increase the city's ability to serve the public by improving mobile resources and allowing the city to have access to real-time data for multiple sources in a single interface.
