Share3D™ PDF allows users to rapidly create easily shared 3D PDF files from existing 3D models. Users simply import their 3D model, capture custom 3D views and then choose from over 50 pre-built templates to publish. Published 3D PDF files can be either static or interactive and are readable by anyone with the freely available Adobe® Reader software installed. Recipients can use the familiar bookmark panel to display custom 3D views created in Share3D PDF or leverage the model tree included with Adobe Reader to select parts. In addition, custom 3D views can have associated textual descriptions that will display on the document page as these views are displayed.

With 2012 (see details: http://www.quadrispace.com/s/2012/index.php), sharing 3D becomes even easier and faster. New advances in technology incorporated into the 2012 version of Share3D PDF result in published PDF files that are often half the size, or less, of previous versions of the software. Smaller files are easier to share through email, faster to download from the internet, open more rapidly and consume fewer system resources.

Generally large models amplify this decrease in file size. Untextured large models can easily result in PDF files that are a shrunk by 90% to 95% when compared to PDF files created with Share3D PDF 2011. The graphs below show examples of reduced PDF file sizes.
