BOXX Debuts 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 Workstation at AU Vegas 2011

AUSTIN, TEXAS, Nov. 28, 2011—BOXX Technologies, the leading authority on dedicated rendering and innovator in high-performance computing systems for product design, visualization, engineering, visual effects, and more, today announced that the new 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME workstation, the world’s fastest workstation for Autodesk® Revit®, SolidWorks, and other frequency bound software applications, will debut at the Autodesk University 2011 conference and exhibition at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nov.29-Dec 1. Demonstrations of the 4920 XTREME and other BOXX hardware solutions can be found at the BOXX booth (#140).

“3DBOXX 4920 XTREME offers PC users and those struggling with our competitors’ mass-produced systems, an opportunity to move up to a custom configured professional workstation,” said Shoaib Mohammad, BOXX VP of Marketing and Business Development. “Our integration of the latest Intel® Core™ i7 processor and other new technologies provides the 4920 XT with a level of performance you can’t get from Dell or HP.”

The latest addition to the 3DBOXX XTREME workstation line, the liquid-cooled 4920 XTREME features a second generation, six core, 12-thread Intel® Core™ i7 processor, performance enhanced to reach speeds of up to 4.5 GHz. SSD caching provides increased storage performance and faster access to media files, while additional DIMM sockets for quad channel DDR3 SDRAM deliver faster memory performance. Overall, the 4920 XTREME delivers 50% more processing power for tasks like CPU-based rendering and simulation analysis, as well as the highest application interactivity and responsiveness among single processor workstations.

“At BOXX, we understand professional workflows and are committed to providing our customers with the latest innovations necessary to work more efficiently,” said Mohammad.  “For architects, engineers, product designers, and other creative pros needing reliable, record-setting performance, 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME is the ultimate solution.”

In addition to the 4920 XT debut, the BOXX booth will also host demonstrations of the upcoming "GPU-BOXX", PCoIP remote desktop computing, and 3DBOXX 4880 XTREME, a performance enhanced quad GPU workstation. A silver sponsor of this year's AU Vegas 2011, BOXX will provide 4880 XTREME workstations for two key Autodesk® iray® presentations: iray: The New "Easy" Button for Rendering (Session AV5049 held in Marcello 4406) and Rendering in the Cloud (AV4417 held in Murano 3306).
