Havok™ and Rocketbox Studios Partner to Provide High Definition 3D Models, Animation Libraries and Custom Content for Immersive Training Applications

SAN FRANCISCO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — November 23, 2011 — At I/ITSEC 2011, Havok™ and Rocketbox Studios will showcase Rocketbox’s HD 3D character models and animations within Havok’s technology framework for the development of highly realistic and immersive training applications.

The partnership between Havok and Rocketbox Studios will enable integrators to leverage Havok’s 3D visualization, Animation, and Physics technologies, alongside Rocketbox Studios’ easy-to-integrate 3D model and animation libraries to create highly believable avatar simulations, while accelerating application development and deployment. This technology integration also provides users with the freedom to use models from both Havok and Rocketbox libraries and extend existing models to best fit requirements.

Havok’s Vision Engine, Animation and Physics technologies are currently being used to develop and prototype high quality simulation environments for tactical training, MOUT, operator training, driver training, 3D mission training, as well as creation of highly realistic character avatars and vehicle simulation.

“Rocketbox Studios is yet another great partner in our growing ecosystem of simulation partners,” said Cory Kumm, Havok’s Director of Simulation. “Working together we hope to provide customers with a variety of development options that include advanced technologies and content in order to help accelerate the development of highly realistic and immersive training applications.”

The integration of Rocketbox Libraries within Havok’s technologies will be demonstrated during I/ITSEC at the following booths: Havok (#2527) and Rocketbox Studios (#2823).
