AMSTERDAM — (BUSINESS WIRE) — November 1, 2011 — TomTom today announced that it will roll out the GO LIVE 1005 WORLD in five more countries after the successful launches of a PND with travel specific apps in the USA and Germany. The new device, featuring driver-friendly versions of Twitter, Expedia and TripAdvisor, and a map of the world will be made available in The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, New Zealand and United Kingdom.

Each of the new Search & Go LIVE Services have been created to work seamlessly with TomTom’s map and routing technology. Once drivers have read reviews and selected where they want to go, they are automatically offered the best route to get there. The TomTom LIVE device will calculate the quickest route to avoid traffic congestion using TomTom HD Traffic.

The device comes standard with pre-installed maps of Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and Southern Africa, so drivers can go wherever they want, immediately.
