Santa Clara, Calif. – Sept. 14, 2011 -- Extreme DA™, the leader in new-generation timing sign-off software, today announced it has joined the Mentor Graphics® Corporation (Nasdaq:MENT) OpenDoor® program to deliver interoperability between the two companies’ solutions in the creation of ICs with higher performance, lower power consumption and improved robustness. Extreme DA is ensuring the interoperability of its GoldTime sign-off timer with the Mentor Olympus-SoCTM IC implementation solution.
“We are pleased to welcome Extreme DA to our OpenDoor partnership program,” said Pravin Madhani, General Manager of the Mentor Place and Route Group. “Olympus-SoC’s high capacity and efficient multi-corner, multi-mode design closure capabilities are well-matched to the performance of Extreme DA’s GoldTime timer. This integration provides our joint customers with a fast, robust interface to GoldTime.”
Mustafa Celik, CEO of Extreme DA, said, “The deadly combination of growing design complexity in ever-smaller silicon nodes with greater process variability is driving the need for a new generation of IC implementation tool compatibility. Our joint solution delivers faster and more accurate design closure since Extreme DA’s GoldTime sign-off timer eliminates the analysis bottleneck and unnecessary pessimism at 28nm and below. I look forward to seeing the success our joint customers will enjoy.”
