Montana State University Selects AssetWorks as their Computerized Maintenance Management System Provider

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Feb 01, 2011 -- AssetWorks, a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solutions, announced that it has signed a facilities management software and implementation services contract with Montana State University. The university selected AiM™ by AssetWorks to replace a custom Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that has been in place for almost 30 years.

AiM, a comprehensive facilities and asset management solution that enables organizations to effectively track expenditures, improve accountability, enhance service delivery and extend the useful life of assets, was selected after a competitive process that included a full analysis of available software applications.

Montana State University's Facilities Services department is ultimately responsible for the maintenance, operation and renovation of all university buildings, grounds, and infrastructure systems.

In order to be selected, AssetWorks had to demonstrate AiM's ability to manage work orders, inventory, preventive maintenance, space management, project management, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, customer billing, transportation services, tool/equipment rental, lease management, mobile barcode scanning devices, integrate with the University's ERP system and allow both technical and non-technical users to create custom reports.

"It is a pleasure to welcome Montana State University to the AssetWorks family," said Broc Zautner, Director of Sales and Marketing. "We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the growing university and provide them with the tools to administer a successful maintenance management program."

Founded in 1893, Montana State University now serves over 13,500 students at the Bozeman campus and employs 2,975 permanent faculty and staff. The University's Facilities Services department maintains 2.5 million square feet of state-supported academic and research building space and more than 200 acres of landscaped grounds.
