Gates Joins GeoDecisions

(Jan. 12, 2010/Harrisburg, Pa.) Kevin W. Gates has joined GeoDecisions, an information technology company specializing in geospatial solutions. Based in the firm’s Newark, Del., office, Gates serves as a senior project manager responsible for supporting business development efforts and managing clients in the homeland security and public safety industries. He brings more than 17 years of project management experience to his new position.

Prior to joining GeoDecisions, Gates served as a geospatial manager in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Geospatial Technologies Office and in the U.S. Naval Engineering Command headquarters. He also served as a geographic information system (GIS) project manager for ESRI®, where he supported private firms and local, state, and federal government agencies on a broad range of GIS projects.

Gates holds a bachelor of arts in sociology from Occidental College and a master of regional planning from Cornell University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.
