Intermap Technologies Contracts Digital Data Services as New Data Distributor to Provide Wide Area Map Data to GIS Users, Consultants, and Service Providers

DENVER — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 29, 2009 Intermap Technologies announced today a new data distribution agreement with Digital Data Services, a leading provider of mapping products and GIS services, to offer Intermap’s uniformly accurate 3D digital elevation models, orthorectified radar images, contour line maps, and optimized triangulated irregular network (TIN) models worldwide.

The addition of Intermap’s NEXTMap countrywide datasets to Digital Data Services’ suite of products and services give geospatial professionals immediate access to consistently reliable map data, thereby allowing them to perform wide-area spatial analysis in a more timely and cost efficient manner.

"Digital Data Services is committed to helping basic and advanced users in the GIS world to solve real-world complex problems, and is pleased to make Intermap’s reliable map data readily available for effective decision making,” said Scott Carter, CEO and president of Digital Data Services. “Intermap’s high-quality and affordable data will allow users to arrive at more accurate solutions with significant savings in both time and money.”

Commercial services from Digital Data Services include map scanning, geo-referencing, digitizing, custom mapping projects, data conversion, the creation of 3-D fly-through simulations, and custom geospatial projects that take advantage of the best remote-sensed data available. Intermap’s high-resolution digital elevation models and images have a proven history of effectively enabling these types of services.

“Digital Data Services clients will gain great value through this relationship,” said Tony Brown, Intermap’s vice president of data products. "Increased access and application of superior digital terrain and surface models, geometrically corrected imagery, and contours for the U.S. and Western Europe, will be a tremendous benefit to the entire geospatial community.”
