China Information Security Technology, Inc. Ranked by Deloitte as One of Top 50 Fastest Growing Hi-tech Enterprises in China for 2008

SHENZHEN, China, Oct. 31 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Information Security Technology, Inc., (NASDAQ: CPBY) ("China Information Security," "CIST" or the "Company"), a leading application software developer, systems integrator and full-service Geographic Information Systems ("GIS") solutions provider to public security and civil-use markets in China, today announced that the Company has been ranked by Deloitte as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the high technology sector in China for 2008. The list of the top 50 high growth companies in the IT sector was a result of a three month ranking process. Companies selected in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China program will automatically qualify for participation in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2008 program, which annually recognizes the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the Asia Pacific region. Winners will receive significant exposure and recognition from media and industry and become part of an exclusive network of high performing technology companies.

The IPO forum aims to create mutually beneficial exchanges among its participants and to share the challenges which high growth companies face. Participants of the forum are CEOs of the awarded companies, representatives from venture capital firms and industry experts. The Deloitte award ceremony and IPO forum took place on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the InterContinental Hotel in Huaqiaocheng, Shenzhen.
