Rossi Rilievi Fotogrammetrici Takes Delivery of Second Intergraph(R) Large-Format Digital Mapping Camera

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 30, 2008— Rossi Rilievi Fotogrammetrici, one of Italys most prominent aerial photogrammetry organizations, has taken delivery of its second Intergraph® Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera (DMC®), providing a significant boost to its image capture capabilities to meet the growing demand for detailed aerial image capture data. In addition to using the DMC for important projects in Italy, Rossi has also leveraged the DMC for many digital photogrammetry efforts abroad, particularly in South America.

Since taking delivery of our first DMC in 2006, we have been able to offer our customers the latest in high-resolution image capture technology, said Andrea Mazzucchelli, technical director of Rossi Rilievi Fotogrammetrici. The acquisition of this second camera will increase our ability to serve our fast-growing customer base. In addition to the DMC technology, Rossi also leverages Intergraphs convenient and comprehensive image processing and distribution tools, enabling us to achieve among the highest productivity in the industry.

Rossis decision underscores the value that leading aerial mapping companies realize in Intergraphs digital photogrammetry solutions, said Intergraph Italy Manager, Claudio Mingrino. Intergraphs market-leading solutions enable them to deliver high-quality imagery with increased productivity and seamless workflows.

The Intergraph DMC was the industry's first large-format frame digital aerial camera, the first to be certified by the United States Geological Survey and the first to offer an innovative Solid State Disk (SSD) storage technology to decrease camera weight and footprint. In addition to digital aerial cameras, Intergraphs end-to-end earth imaging solutions include photogrammetric workstations, flight management and post-processing systems and a full photogrammetric data exploitation software suite.
