Tele Atlas Announces Finalists of 2008 LBS Innovator Series "Maps in Apps" Contest: Open Green Map, Pongr and Travel Channel GO

SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 10, 2008— Tele Atlas, a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions, today announced Open Green MapTM, PongrTM and the Travel Channel GOTM as the finalists in the Tele Atlas LBS Innovators Series Maps In Apps 2008 competition. Additionally, demonstrating the series increasing value and ability to fuel application development, Tele Atlas announced industry partners Autodesk, Inc., (NASDAQ: ADSK), and SiRF Technology Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRF) have joined the Tele Atlas LBS Innovators Series as sponsors.

The Maps in Apps contest was created to help spur the growth of consumer and business applications that utilize mapping or location to enhance functionality. Past finalists in Tele Atlas LBS Innovators Series programs have leveraged their success to launch commercial location-based solutions. This year, the Maps In Apps contest was judged by experts from industry-leading companies, including Autodesk, deCarta, Human Factors International, Motorola, Networks In Motion (NIM), Research In Motion and SiRF. The 2008 Maps in Apps finalists are:

CTIA IT & Entertainment attendees are invited to view demonstrations in the Tele Atlas booth, #717, from September 10-12 and then to vote via SMS or paper ballot for their favorite application. SMS codes for voting will be provided in the booth. The winner will be selected in a live voting event at the conference. One grand prize winner will be awarded $25,000 in cash and $50,000 in Tele Atlas map data; two runners up each will receive $10,000 in cash and $20,000 in Tele Atlas map data. Additionally, Tele Atlas named Dial Directions as runner-up and 3-GIS as the best enterprise application; Dial Directions will also exhibit in the Tele Atlas booth at the event.

The annual Maps In Apps competition is part of the ongoing Tele Atlas LBS Innovators Series, which serves in conjunction with Tele Atlas DeveloperLinkSM to help foster innovation and enable application developers to increase their visibility, credibility and success with key participants in the industry including investors, carriers and technology providers.
