LAUNCH IC MASTER 3.0

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - June 30, 2008 – Hearst Electronics Group, the largest publisher of product information to the electronics industry, along with SiliconExpert today announced the upgrade of ICMaster.com, www.icmaster.com. The new IC Master 3.0 release takes the power of the world’s largest free database of parts, suppliers, datasheets and distributors even further. In addition to changing the user interface, the new release has new features such as customized homepages and user search histories.

One of the most important milestones in this release has been the significant increase in data. The IC Master database now contains 150+ million parts from over 9,000 suppliers (an increase of 50% over the previous release). The data release was 9 months in making, while the user interface and feature redesigns were in the works since January 2008. The parametric features of the site have also received significant updates, allowing users to not only conduct parametric searches on the product line level but for every supplier as well. Additionally, the release has opened the gates for guests to conduct an unlimited number of searches with a limited data view. Registration is still required to gain full access to all of the features on IC Master.
