Sunplus DVB-T single chip solution SPHE1003 is among the first single chip DVB-T STB solutions to deliver the digital terrestrial broadcasting reception and also to have multimedia add-on features such as MPEG1/2/4/DivX video decode, MP3/AAC/PCM audio decode, USB and card reader functions. Meanwhile, SPHE1003 also supports MHEG-5 & DSMCC V1.0.6 UK Middleware for UK DTV and STB applications, which is co-working with UK software company Ocean Blue.
Sunplus DVB-T solution SPHE1003 is the most competitive solution in the market in many aspects, like BOM cost advantage, easy to adopt, and outstanding performance. SPHE1003 inherits Sunplus previous discrete DVB-T demodulator solution on static and mobile applications. In static STB applications, the SPHE1003 offers worldwide 200mW lowest power consumption, quicker channel scan speed, and good echo performance in single frequency network as well as multiple frequency network. In portable DTV applications, the SPHE1003 can run up to 180kmh high speed reception under the condition of 16QAM and 2/3 coding rate.
