VaST Promotes Colin Lythall to VP of Corporate Engineering

SUNNYVALE, California, February 27, 2007 - VaST Systems -the technology leader in embedded design-today announced that Colin Lythall, director of VaST's Sydney R&D operation, has been named corporate vice president of engineering.

"Responding to global major account requirements, VaST is recruiting where specific engineering skills and expertise reside. Colin's previous experience managing diverse global engineering centers perfectly fits our mission to closely match our customer needs," said Alain Labat, president and CEO. Labat continued, "Colin will oversee the management of worldwide engineering resources, enabling us to pick and choose the best and the brightest minds to engineer VaST's products and to have them closely managed as part of our entire R&D organization. As part of this engineering expansion, Mahdi Seddighnezhad has been promoted to senior director of engineering at the VaST Sunnyvale engineering location".

Lythall brings over 20 years of experience to his new role at VaST. Immediately prior to joining VaST, he served at IntelliWhere as the product development executive for highly scalable incident management systems for homeland security and emergency dispatch centers. Colin's prior experience includes being co-founder of WebVentures, QSI Payments and Qtec Semiconductor.
