Si2's Low Power Coalition Receives Common Power Format Parser Source Code

AUSTIN, Texas—(BUSINESS WIRE)—January 17, 2007— In response to a Request for Technology issued last week, the Low Power Coalition (LPC) of Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) today announced that Cadence Design Systems has provided full source code for a Common Power Format (CPF) version 1.0 parser to the LPC. The parser, which is TCL based, will enable LPC members to more quickly bring products to market that support CPF, which was approved as a Si2 Specification last week.

"The CPF Parser will facilitate the evaluation of the specification and the integration of a coherent low-power design solution for our key applications in cellphone baseband and application processors, connectivity, data storage, and imaging."
