Optichron Names Juan C. Garcia to Vice President of Marketing Position

FREMONT, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—October 9, 2006— Optichron, Inc., the leader in Nonlinear Signal Processing (NSP), today named Juan C. Garcia as Vice President of Marketing. Garcia brings to the company a 17-year track record in the development of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit products and the management of system-level solutions for the communications market. He will lead the introduction and support of new integrated circuits and related products built on Optichron's proprietary Turbolinear(TM) NSP technology, which eliminates the naturally-occurring nonlinear distortion that degrades all types of signals. Customers are makers of signal processing systems that can benefit from cleaner signals to realize large gains in performance, cost, and efficiency; including wireless systems such as cellular 3G, mobile WiMAX, GPS, automotive anti-collision radar, and Software Defined Radio (SDR).

"Optichron is very pleased to introduce Juan Garcia to lead our marketing team." said Perry Constantine, CEO of Optichron. "His experience across the spectrum of technology development, engineering support, and delivering system-level solutions is well aligned with Optichron's plans to meet the needs of wireless systems designers looking for a boost to their own innovations."

"Optichron has achieved a breakthrough in Turbolinear Nonlinear Signal Processing (NSP) technology that will be pivotal in advancing signal processing systems to the next levels of features and cost-to-performance ratios," said Garcia., "so I am delighted with the opportunity to expand the marketing of this key innovation that will help to excite the growth of emerging wireless markets."

Previously Garcia had served in systems engineering management and product development roles for Texas Instruments; as director of sales and business development for TelASIC Communications; and as director of product marketing engineering and in several engineering capacities for Harris Semiconductor/Intersil Corporation. He earned a BSEE at the University of South Florida.
