         August 18, 1:00pm.

Top Technology Firms to Participate in ESC and EDA&T Technical Seminars Leading technology providers will address challenges faced today by Taiwan's IC and system designers at the events' technical seminars.

ESC-Taiwan seminars will be hosted by embedded systems providers including Agilent Technologies, Atmel, CoWare, National Instruments, Renesas Technology, Spansion and TeraSoft.

At EDA&T-Taiwan, seminars will be hosted by EDA tool companies and distributors including Ansoft, AVANT, AMD, Cadence, Incentia Design Systems and Maojet Technology.

Thousands of Design Engineers Expected to Attend

Saunderson said: "Almost 3,000 designers and technical managers from Taiwan's design community attended last year's event. We expect record numbers to attend this year as Taiwan's engineers look to improve their skill sets and learn about the latest technologies and solutions."

In 2005, 70 percent of ESC-Taiwan and EDA&T-Taiwan attendees were design or development engineers and 15 percent were engineering managers.

In addition, most visitors played a strategic role in the decision-making process-77 percent of visitors at ESC-Taiwan 2005 were already using embedded systems or planning to do so. At EDA&T-Taiwan, 68 percent of visitors said they were planning to purchase EDA tools between this year and the next.

Event exhibition hours are 9:30am to 5:00pm. More information and pre-registration for ESC-Taiwan are available at http://www.escasiaexpo.com . Details and pre-registration for EDA&T-Taiwan are available at http://www.edatexpo.com . Both events are free to qualified attendees.
