Extremely Compact, High Efficiency Device Targets Bluetooth(TM) Headset and Ultra-Thin Digital Camera Applications

High Efficiency
The AAT1121 operates over a 2.7V to 5.5V input range with an output as low as 0.6V. With efficiency as high as 96%, the AAT1121 maintains a low 30uA no load quiescent current. The device also uses a 1.5MHz switching frequency, which reduces the size of external components. A high-DC gain error amplifier with internal compensation controls the output and provides excellent transient response and load regulation.
The AAT1121 offers both current limit and over-temperature protection. Soft-start circuitry limits current surge at input and eliminates output voltage overshoot.
Price and Availability
Specified over the -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C temperature range, the AAT1121 is available in an 8-pin, 2x2x0.85mm TDFN package. The device sells for $0.76 in 1000-piece quantities.
