VaST Systems Technology Promotes Erin Marshall to VP Sales for North America; US Sales Growth Also Prompts Hiring of Eastern Region Sales Director

SUNNYVALE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Feb. 1, 2006— VaST Systems Technology Corporation, the embedded systems design automation company, today announced that Erin Marshall has been promoted to vice president of sales for North America. Marshall was named as sales director of the US Central Region on June 6, 2005.

"Erin has made a huge contribution to our record US sales this year," said VaST CEO Alain Labat. "She has proven to be an exceptional executive, managing sales into the semiconductor, systems and automotive sectors. As both the US and worldwide installed base for VaST products continues to expand, we are delighted to have someone of Erin's caliber leading the effort in North America."

Prior to working for VaST, Marshall was vice president of sales for Barcelona Design, Inc.; and in sales, sales management and sales operations for Cadence Design Systems. Newly-hired Liz DiVittorio, eastern region sales director, and John Faase, western region sales director, will be reporting directly to Marshall.

"VaST is poised to dominate the embedded systems design automation market with our fast, accurate virtual system prototypes," said Marshall. "Other companies talk about VSPs, but only VaST delivers the concurrent performance and accuracy that allows designers to use real software loads to analyze and optimize both the hardware and the software at the architectural level - well before the hardware is complete. As embedded systems continue to grow in number, size and complexity, VaST models will become ubiquitous. I'm very excited at the prospect of being a part of that proliferation."
