Point2 Technology extends leadership team with industry titan, Thomas Byunghak Cho, Ph.D.

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 8, 2024 –  Point2 Technology, a leading provider of ultra-low-power, low-latency mixed-signal SoC solutions for multi-terabit interconnect, today announced the appointment of Thomas Byunghak Cho, Ph.D., as the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately. Based in the company’s R&D headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, Thomas will be responsible for driving the technical direction and roadmap of Point2’s product offerings across the company’s global operations.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Thomas is an IEEE fellow and distinguished electrical engineer with expertise in CMOS RF/analog/mixed-signal IC product development in the high-speed data communication industry. Prior to joining Point2, Thomas held senior positions at Level One Communications, Marvell Semiconductor, and Samsung Electronics. Thomas is also an invited professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), lecturing on circuit design.
