This year marks the 14th edition of Geospatial World Forum (GWF), a platform for the global geospatial community, attended by senior executives representing public policies, national geospatial and space agencies, large business enterprise users, commercial companies, and professional and academic institutions from 75+ countries. After three consecutive years in Amsterdam, the event returns to Rotterdam, to take place in Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam from 2-5 May 2023.

The theme ‘Geospatial Caravan: Embracing One and All’ combines two important dimensions: the fact that the geospatial industry is growing and driving the digital age; and secondly, geospatial knowledge and services are integrating and embedding itself with workflows and business processes of almost every important industry, supporting the sustainability of everything.

”The goal is to understand how we can reduce technological, institutional, and workflow complexity while increasing impact for the greater good of society,” says Annu Negi, Senior Vice President, GW Events at Geospatial World.

Over the course of four days, GWF will host tailored symposiums on core geospatial data and economy subjects, including: Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure (GKI) Summit, Land Economy, Space + Spatial Value Chain, and Hydrography & Maritime. Major user segments will be covered by co-located event, GEOBIM – catering to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) sector as well as Cities, Geo4SDGs, Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Retail & Commerce, and Geo4Telcos.

The symposiums will be complemented by technology sessions on LiDAR, SAR, AI/ML, and various workshops and roundtables featuring critical topics such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity (DEI), Data Governance, Digital Twins, and others.

Leading geospatial technology providers, including industry giants, Esri and Trimble, already secured their presence at the event as Strategic Sponsors, along with co-sponsors Merkator, RIEGL and Synspective.

The event also gained support from international organizations, including the European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI), the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC), Eurographics, EUROGI, the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), and the Location-Based Marketing Association (LBMA).

True to its theme, the audience will get the chance to listen to diverse range of influential speakers, not only from the leading National Geospatial Agencies, but representatives from major brands and organizations across industries as well, among not to be missed: Mastercard, Verizon, Mattel, Domino’s, Flipkart, JLL, and Swiss Re.

“GWF will provide its delegates with structured opportunities to network, learn and participate in multi-stakeholder discussions. We look forward to delivering the event as a “purposeful” experience with meaning, innovation, and insight in an interactive environment,” adds Negi.
