Maxar European Space Imaging: Satellite imagery (July 30th) of Iraqi protests in Baghdad

European Space Imaging partner, Maxar, collected new high-resolution satellite imagery at 10:49 AM on Saturday 30 July of Baghdad, Iraq that shows thousands of demonstrators and supporters of Iraqi cleric Muqtada al-Sadr trying to breach the Green Zone and head into the Iraqi parliament building. Iraqi security forces can be seen throughout the area trying to block the protesters from entering the area and using water cannons to repel the crowds, which ultimately proved to be unsuccessful. Additionally, a large crowd of people are seen marching along the Al Jumariyah bridge near Tahrir Square and are moving toward the Green Zone.
