Speakers Announced for the 2015 FLOW-3D Americas Users Conferences

August 24, 2015 -- Flow Science has announced the speakers for its 2015 FLOW-3D Americas Conferences, to be held on September 22 in Denver, CO and September 25 in Montreal, QC.

FLOW-3D users from both the commercial and academic arenas will present and discuss their work, including topics such as modeling hydro power plants, simulating dam breaks and subsequent flooding, and solving manufacturing issues. Speakers from NYPA, ARCADIS-US, Hydro-Quebec, HDR, MetalTek International, USBR, and a variety of leading research institutions are part of a diverse lineup of presenters. In addition to the work presented by our customers, Flow Science representatives will present current and upcoming developments for the software. Go here for a full list of speakers and their topics.

Flow Science will offer a half-day training on FlowSight™, FLOW-3D’s state-of-the-art post-processing and visualization tool, preceding the conference. The training, geared towards beginning and intermediate users of FlowSight, will help customers analyze results in depth and efficiently and demonstrate how to communicate results with effective and engaging layouts.

In conjunction with the Users Conference in Denver, a free tour at the Bureau of Reclamation’s hydraulic laboratory will be offered the morning of September 21 at 10-11:30 am. Since 1930, the Bureau of Reclamation’s hydraulic laboratory has conducted research and tested scale models of hydraulic structures and equipment critical to the development of western water projects. The lab has been a pioneer in the development of hydraulic equipment, structures, instrumentation, and design guidance and analysis tools for hydraulic, environmental and mechanical engineering. In addition to the conferences, trainings and tour, Flow Science is offering two free hands-on workshops geared towards prospective users of FLOW-3D on September 21 in Denver and September 24 in Montreal. The workshops will focus on modeling water and environmental flows with FLOW-3D. There is no cost to participate in these free FLOW-3D workshops. Participants will be given a complimentary 30-day license after the workshop.

Online registration for the conference and FlowSight training is now available.
