Ohio Records 18 Percent Uptick in Construction Projects for Q2 2015

BidClerk Construction Index Reveals Nearly $4 Billion in Contract Value

CHICAGO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 28, 2015 — Throughout the state of Ohio, nearly 2,000 projects with a combined contract value of about $4 billion went out for bid in the second quarter of 2015. Compared to the same time period in 2014, Ohio saw an 18 percent increase in the number of actively bidding projects.

According to the BidClerk Construction Index (BCI), a quarterly report from BidClerk, a leading provider of construction project data, in Ohio there were more than 250 private projects and over 1,500 public projects released for bid in the second quarter of 2015. Areas in the report included Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Youngstown, Ohio.
