Join a Steering Group for the PLM Industry

Geneva, Switzerland. May 12, 2015 -- The PLM International Research Foundation (PLM-IRF) has produced a global picture of where PLM could be in 10 years' time, and now needs a Steering Group to advise on taking this forward.

Over the last year, the PLM-IRF has carried out two surveys. The first of these, the Academic Survey into the Opportunities for Advanced PLM Research identified more than 20 areas where PLM capability can develop beyond its current horizons. More recently, the Global Industry Survey into the Future of PLM led to a corresponding view from industry.

A Steering Group is now needed to advise on how to leverage the Future of PLM findings for the good of everyone.

Formation of a Steering Group will enable the PLM-IRF to establish itself as an independent legal entity acting for the global benefit of PLM; and to move forward in 2015 in a way that has clear endorsement from leading PLM organisations.

Members of the Steering Group will be able to review the current PLM-IRF Academic and Industrial Survey results, and advise on combining them into a new Future of PLM 2025 Report. They will input to the Future of PLM 2025 events planned for the USA and Europe, and will provide ongoing oversight as the initiative develops throughout the year.
