BUFFALO, N.Y., Dec. 22, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Buffalo Computer Graphics, Inc. (BCG) has partnered with Lithos Robotics Corporation to offer customers new video and audio options with camera systems and robots that can be placed directly at disaster sites and viewed in the DisasterLAN (DLAN) Streaming Video Module.

During an emergency real-time situational awareness is key to successful decision making and saving both lives and property. DLAN improves situational awareness across the board by giving users access to task and resource management, GIS, asset tracking, weather, and social media data all in one place. The addition of Lithos' equipment to DLAN will further improve responder's ability to make accurate decisions based on real time video and audio feeds.

BCG will now be offering customers Tacbot and Tacbot 2 robots through Lithos. These robots feature all weather-tracked designs and are equipped with both a front drive camera and pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras, featuring 36x optical zoom and white/IR sensitive mode for night use. These robots can carry HAZMAT sensors into a suspected hot zone and transmit telemetry back to technicians.

BCG will also be offering Sentinel and Sentac quick deploy camera systems featuring PTZ cameras. These cameras can be used to provide real-time video from on scene.

Allen Mann, President of Lithos Robotics Corporation, notes "Viewing real-time video from quick deploy cameras and robots, placed directly at the heart of a disaster, will be a great aid to decision makers in an emergency."

DLAN users can access real-time video and audio from any Lithos equipment by utilizing Lithos' DLAN Field Interface Unit. This capability provides personnel at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with an unprecedented real-time view right from a disaster site. This access will allow DLAN customers to make decisions based on live views directly from the scene and further improve situational awareness.

"BCG is proud to add Lithos as a value-added partner to our DLAN product line. This partnership will allow us to provide additional situational awareness tools to our customers and is in line with our philosophy of offering not just a software product, but a total incident management solution," says BCG Vice President, Gary Masterson.

Lithos Robotics Corporation is a world leader in the development of high performance mobile robots and equipment for securely sharing video in a tactical or emergency scenario.

DLAN is a web-based incident management system designed for use in emergency operations centers to manage both planned events and disasters using ICS and NIMS standards.

BCG is a global provider of Incident Management Software, Mass Notification Systems, Maritime Training Solutions, and Custom Hardware & Software Engineering. The ability to provide COTS and custom-tailored solutions that integrate with client's existing infrastructure is what sets BCG apart from its competitors.
