Baltimore's BELECARA Surgery Center Introduces New 3D Imaging

Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland offers VECTRA XT, a new high-resolution 3D face, breast and body imaging system.

BALTIMORE, Oct. 22, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Baltimore's BELECARA Surgery Center is pleased to begin offering 3D surgical results simulation through VECTRA XT: a new technology used to help cosmetic surgery clients visualize their potential results. During their consultation, clients can get an in-depth sense of the possible outcomes of their chosen procedure, all in high-resolution 3D.

BELECARA is excited to embrace this technology in their practice and looks forward to raising the bar when it comes to cosmetic surgery consultations.

"Take breast augmentation for example," says board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Cohen. "Typically, a patient would 'try on' implants during a consultation using an unlined bra and implant sizers. With VECTRA, the same client can explore implant options and see a simulation of how their breasts could look after surgery, all on their own body. The same applies to facial and body procedures."

With the VECTRA XT system, BELECARA is able to capture 3D images of the face, breasts, and torso with the same ease as capturing a 2D image. The imaging system takes 180-degree photos of the areas a client wishes to alter and creates 3D composite images. BELECARA's surgeons can then manipulate these images and they may be viewed from a wide range of angles to simulate the actual results of a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures.

With the ability to capture details with razor-sharp precision, VECTRA XT offers accurate visual portrayals, providing real-time answers to many patient questions concerning the results of cosmetic surgery. Using this advanced imaging system, BELECARA clients can better communicate their aesthetic goals to their surgeon and develop realistic expectations for their outcomes.

"Our number one goal as a practice is client satisfaction," says Dr. Cohen. "With the new VECTRA XT technology, we offer our clients education and the opportunity to see how a cosmetic procedure could affect their overall aesthetic. We are thrilled to be able to offer our clients access to this technology."

BELECARA hopes that the VECTRA XT imaging system will help prospective clients develop a better understanding of their options and a sense of confidence in selecting procedures.
