Architectural Record To Hold 12th Annual Innovation Conference, "Breakthrough: Design at the Intersection of Art, Science & Technology," October 9 in NYC

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Top designers will explore the latest developments in architecture, from experimental architecture to American and international modernism, at the upcoming Innovation Conference presented by McGraw Hill Construction's Architectural Record.  The 12th annual event will be held Thursday, October 9 at McGraw Hill Financial headquarters, 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan.

Themed "Breakthrough: Design at the Intersection of Art, Science & Technology," the conference will highlight the profession's top innovators, groundbreaking designers and most influential new projects in a series of presentations and panels.  Last year's event drew more than 400 industry professionals.   

The event features keynote addresses by noted architects.  In the opening keynote, Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, Founders, Massimiliano Fuksas Architectto, will discuss "Working at Every Scale" and their process behind designing everything from chairs, lamps and tables to the 5.4-million-square-foot Shenzhen Bao'An International Airport in south China.  Paris-based Odile Decq, Founder, Studio Odile Decq, one of the world's best-known female architects, will present the closing keynote.  Decq is noted for her exploits in massive, steel-framed and concrete structures.  She will discuss the creative process behind her provocative architecture as well as her bold agenda for her new future-oriented architecture school in Lyon.
