Inphi Announces Production Availability of Isolation Memory Buffer to Enable LRDIMMs for Servers Based on Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E5-2600 v2 Product Family

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Sep 10, 2013 -- Inphi Corporation (NYSE: IPHI), a leading provider of high-speed, mixed signal semiconductor solutions for the communications and computing markets, today announced its latest, Inphi Isolation Memory Buffer (iMB)™02-GS02B, for servers based on Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 v2 product family. LRDIMMs based on Inphi's iMB offer a significant improvement across all server memory capacities -- a critical requirement as IT leaders look to boost data center performance and reliability, while maintaining compatibility with a host of critical applications.

"Inphi and Intel have worked together to ensure the latest iMB-enabled LRDIMMs take full advantage of all the memory enhancements Intel has built into its newest Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 E5-2600 v2 product family," said Geof Findley, director, Intel Platform Memory Organization. "Ultimately, this means enterprise users can experience better performance of memory intensive applications and IT leaders can experience an improved total cost of ownership, due to enhanced productivity on new server introductions from OEM partners."

Inphi's iMB-enabled LRDIMMs on Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 E5-2600 v2 based servers provide up to 35% improvement in LRDIMM bandwidth for 768GB memory capacities and 40% improvement in memory bandwidth for servers up to 512GB memory capacities. The new LRDIMM enhancements on Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 E5-2600 v2 deliver top memory speeds of 1866 MT/s for system populations up to 512GB using 32GB LRDIMMs. 64GB LRDIMMs extend the latest dual Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 based server capacity to 1.5TB.

"Inphi is excited about Intel's latest enhancements to Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 E5-2600 v2 based servers," said Paul Washkewicz, vice president of Computing and Storage at Inphi. "Now that Intel's servers fully exploit the true potential of LRDIMMs, we believe there will be a higher adoption of iMB-enabled LRDIMMs. Users will now experience the high performance, capacity and processing performance they require for their business critical applications."
