IronCAD Launches Customer Engagement Program Customer’s Now Gain Front Seat Access and Direct Input to the Upcoming 2014 IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite Release

ATLANTA, GA. June 24th, 2013 – IronCAD, LLC, the leading provider of design productivity solutions, today announced their customer engagement program that gives customers direct access to the development versions of the upcoming IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite 2014. Within this program, customers will be able to test drive new functionality planned for the official release and supply valuable input to help direct the final design and usage of the functionality. The introduction of the Customer Engagement Program is to engage customers into the early stages of development for the upcoming release that will be introducing unique industry first technology and critical new design capabilities.

Beyond an early beta program, the customer engagement program allows customer to receive multiple versions of the product throughout the release cycle where their input can be directly reflected. In addition, customers can request new functionality to be added during this development cycle that directly impacts the overall productivity and usage of the suite of products. Typically this program has been exclusive to the IronCAD Partner Network, but has been extended into the hand of the customer giving them more control to shape the final product.

Examples of some of the productivity highlights among many enhancements and improvements that customers will be able to experience early in the program include:

Quickly Duplicate to Pattern/Links on Drop: This powerful tool allows parts and assemblies to be automatically applied to existing patterns and links on the simple Drag & Drop from the Catalog environment. Using this capabilities, you will be able to replicate parts and assemblies quickly among common locations generated from pattern features.

Intelligent Editing of Multiple Features At Once: This functionality lets you select multiple features and edit sizes of all at the same time by simply pulling on the IntelliShape Handles allowing for faster feature manipulation. Typically, you would spend time and effort creating relationships and parametrics to drive multiple features in a similar manner. With this new capability, the task becomes a snap by quickly selecting and pulling to the desired editing distance.

Intelligent “Active Handle” Editing: This allows you to set the default handle for editing when you drag and drop a feature from the catalog onto your design or select a feature for editing. For example you can set a cylinder’s default handle for editing to the width handle. When you drop the cylinder onto a part, the width handles value is automatically highlighted so you can quickly edit its size by simply typing in a new number and hitting enter without any addition clicks or selections.

Importing of Point Cloud Data: Scanning data to be used in 3D applications is becoming a hot trend in the market. During this program, you can test drive the capability to import Point Cloud data that can be used to design 3D Geometry. This enhanced graphical options can support data into the millions of points providing fast graphical response without hindering your design project.

In addition, customer within the program will have access to the latest versions of ACIS™, Parasolids™, Techsoft 3D HOOPS™, Spatial 3D Interop translators to support all the latest CAD formats in the market today as well as support for Rhino 5 via the free Rhino integration tool.

The Customer Engagement Program is currently available for customers on support contracts via the IronCAD customer community. New customers purchasing any one of the IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite’s products with a valid support contract will automatically be entered into the program.

"We are very excited to be able to deliver powerful new capabilities to our dedicated customers that can significantly improve their overall design productivity." commented Cary O’Connor, IronCAD’s VP of Marketing, "The Customer Engagement Program will significantly help our development teams deliver these new capabilities to meet the customer expectations as well as providing addition capabilities to improve the overall design and collaboration process.” he continued.
