GoldenGate Software to Present a Workshop and a Presentation on High Availability at the 2008 HP Technology Forum in Las Vegas

SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 9, 2008— Experts from GoldenGate Software Inc., the leading provider of high availability and real-time data integration solutions, will present a workshop and a presentation track session at the June 2008 HP Technology Forum and Expo, held June 16-19, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas. The sessions will examine the trends, challenges and different solutions commonly adopted for continuous availability in mission-critical HP environments.

What:

In a pre-conference seminar entitled, "Challenges and Solutions for 24x7 Continuous Availability & Unlimited Scalability in Mission-Critical HP NonStop Environments," GoldenGate Software's education services manager, Glenn Goodrich, will discuss ways to better understand and differentiate solutions for each of the three availability states, including synchronous vs. asynchronous replication and options for conflict detection and resolution in dual-active implementations. Glenn will also highlight real-world customer examples and product demonstrations during this interactive session.

GoldenGate Software's senior director of product management, Chris McAllister, will investigate the pros and cons of the myriad of replication technologies and philosophies that culminate at the ultimate high availability topology, active/active. In his session entitled, "Go Active/Active for Your Mission Critical HP NonStop Applications & Achieve Continuous Availability During Planned and Unplanned Outages," Chris will break down physical vs. logical replication and synchronous vs. asynchronous replication; process to process vs. decoupled architecture; as well as, conflict detection algorithms and conflict resolution best practices.
