Phison Adopts Incentia's TestCraft and PowerCraft as DFT Synthesis and Power Analysis Software

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and HSINCHU, Taiwan - December 4, 2007 - Incentia Design Systems, Inc. today announced that Phison Electronics Corp. (Phison; TW:8299), a worldwide leader in USB drive and memory card controllers, has adopted Incentia's TestCraft™ and PowerCraft as its DFT synthesis and gate-level power analysis software. Using TestCraft and PowerCraft, Phison successfully completed its SOC tape-outs and the subsequent silicon volume production of USB and card controllers.

"We have adopted Incentia's TestCraft and PowerCraft as our DFT synthesis and gate-level power analysis software," said Chester Lin, RD Manager at Phison. "TestCraft's rich features including DFT rule checking and fixing, scan chain insertion, optimization, and reporting allowed us to achieve our DFT requirements on the first try. PowerCraft allowed us to accurately and rapidly analyze a variety of power consumption configurations. These two tools dramatically shortened our time-to-market. With TestCraft and PowerCraft, we successfully completed the tape-outs and the subsequent silicon volume production."

"We are pleased that Phison, a world leader in USB drive and memory card controllers, adopted Incentia's TestCraft and PowerCraft in its design flow," said Ihao Chen, president and CEO of Incentia. "Phison's tape-out success and great productivity gain demonstrated our commitment to deliver proven EDA tools with leading technology to our customers."

About Incentia's TestCraft and PowerCraft
TestCraft is Incentia's DFT synthesis software, which can be used as an integrated option of DesignCraft logic synthesizer or as a standalone tool. It offers rich features in DFT rule checking and fixing, scan cell replacement and optimization, scan chain insertion, and comprehensive DFT preview analysis and reports. Through its patented SEDAN (STA Enhanced DFT Analysis) and ABS (Affinity Based Scan Optimization) technologies, TestCraft runs several times faster than other DFT synthesis solutions, while preserving timing quality and increasing fault coverage on your designs.

PowerCraft-PCA is a highly efficient power analysis solution for both gate-level and RTL-level designs. It supports both vectorless and vector-based (i.e. activity-file based) power analyses. It can handle extremely large activity files for full-chip power analysis with FSDB, VCD and SAIF inputs. It also supports multiple activity files. PowerCraft can analyze and report dynamic power, state-dependent and power-dependent (SDPD) internal power, X-transition power and glitch power, SDPD leakage power, clock tree power, average power, and peak power.
