TOKYO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 9, 2018FDK CORPORATION (TOKYO:6955), a global electronic component and battery manufacturer, expands their power conversion portfolio with the introduction of High Voltage 1/8th Brick isolated power module. The module operates wide input voltage range from 36Vdc to 75Vdc that covers 48Vin and provides a typical 50Vdc, 6A output voltage. The output voltage can be trimmed +20% and -50% that covers from 25Vdc to 60Vdc applications.

The module is offered in industry standard 1/8th Brick size, 2.3” x 0.9” (58.4 x 22.9mm) in Through-hole package and low profile, 0.5” (12.7mm) with baseplate. This is targeted toward RRH (Remote Radio Head) GaN-HEMT and LD-MOS amplifier, PoE (Power over Ethernet), PSE and Semiconductor tester applications where requires high voltage and board space, cost, efficiency, and reliable operation in elevated temperature environments are critical. Also, it employs output over-current/over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, remote ON/OFF, output voltage margining, and 1.5kVdc input-output isolation.

“The module has very high efficiency and high output power in a small package that gives customers the ability of space saving,” said Mr. Hitoshi Matsushima, Group President of Electronic Devices Business Group, FDK CORPORATION. “FDK will continue to add the high power density products to its isolated power module product line.”

The module is RoHS II compliant. It is designed by using FDK’s CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technologies and manufactured by using state-of-the-arts in house manufacturing processes and systems.
