Pericom Expands Crystal Oscillator Portfolio to Support Automotive and High Temperature Applications

MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Jun 09, 2016 -- Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (now a part of Diodes Incorporated) (NASDAQ: DIOD), a leading supplier of serial high-speed switching, connectivity, signal-integrity and timing solutions, today announced expansion of its timing solution with high temperature crystal oscillator families to support automotive and other applications that require a high operating temperature.

Today's high temperature environment is not only limited to automotive applications, it also is prevalent in other applications in which the inside temperature rises due to a higher processing speed and integrated components, Maintaining frequency stability over temperature is therefore critical for the clock source in order to support system performance.

"Our high temperature XO family provides many options for temperature and stability that support a broad range of applications. Pericom is expanding its crystal oscillator portfolio with an HX Family, which is critical in supporting customers' growing needs for high temperature and automotive applications. The complete high temperature crystal oscillator HX Family includes CMOS high temperature XO and Differential (LVPECL and LVDS) high temperature XO products with a frequency range of up to 161MHz, various package sizes, and 1.8V/2.5V/3.3V supply voltage.
