Article source: Line of Force Architects Designed as a nuclear family residence for a couple and their three children, Gurmail residence is envisaged as a quiet, natural retreat in sync with the latest technological aspects for the globally travelled techie client. Answering the challenge of creating a simple, automated yet distinguished design complying with the strict by-laws of the city, we decided to utilize the assets like a corner plot, favorable wind direction and excellent views to a well manicured garden in the front, to their maximum.  Image Courtesy © Purnesh Dev Whereas the large expanses of glass in the front and back bring the exteriors into the interiors, giving the experience of sitting by a fountain while sipping your coffee in the lobby, the quiet green spreads of the park across the road, aid in providing a perfect recluse in the bedrooms on the first floor.  Image Courtesy © Purnesh Dev The extravagant use of white color on walls and material finishes as well as in the elevation, serves as a backdrop to exhibit the client’s collection of vibrant art pieces, adorning the walls. The fluid flow of the backyard breaks the monotony of the straight, formal lines in the front, also representing a distinction in the function of the two spaces.
