Instart Logic to Present Novel Unsupervised Categorization Approach for Optimizing Image Content Delivery at the ACM International Conference

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Nov 04, 2014 -- Instart Logic, the Cloud Application Delivery Service for performance-obsessed organizations, today announced Instart Logic's Image Scientist Parvez Ahammad will present research that resulted in a breakthrough technology that uses computer vision to categorize image contents and then optimizes how the image is delivered to preserve a strong Quality-of-Experience (QoE). The technology reduces the amount of data required in the download by 43% on average. Instart Logic's unique SmartVision technology is based on this research and SmartVision now works with both the Image Transcoding and Image Streaming services. This breakthrough is particularly important for delivery of applications to wireless devices, which often receive images over slower, congested or unpredictable wireless network connections. It also represents a significant departure from legacy Content Delivery Networks, which primarily use physical caches distributed to many points-of-presence near the edges of wireless networks to speed delivery. These cache-based systems fail to account for the last mile wireless connection to the device.

Instart Logic invites attendees to visit Ahammad's presentation. Details include:
