WorkNC CADCAM and WorkXPlore 3D Viewer showcased at Euromold BRAZIL (SESCOI)

August 3, 2012 - Sescoi’s new subsidiary in Brazil will be demonstrating its WorkNC Automatic CADCAM and its WorkXPlore 3D high speed view mark-up and analysis software at the EuroMold BRAZIL show taking place in Joinville, from 20th to 24th August on booth 565.

The new exhibition draws on 15 years of experience from MesseBrazil and EuroMold, the largest world event in the tool and mold making sector, and promotes collaboration throughout the supply chain from design to the production line, generating wealth and encouraging technological innovation.

Sescoi’s new subsidiary in Brazil was opened at an event in March 2012 by Sescoi President Bruno Marko where local customers, including representatives from Volkswagen Brazil which uses both WorkNC and WorkXPlore 3D, joined local staff in celebrating the creation of the Brazilian subsidiary and Sescoi’s 25th anniversary.

South America is an important market for CADCAM and EuroMold BRAZIL will give companies an opportunity to see Sescoi’s WorkNC software in action with daily live cutting demonstrations of a showcase part on a TECNODRILL 3x machine. A promotional financing packaging for WorkNC licences, training and maintenance will also be available to show visitors.

WorkNC V21
, available in Portuguese, is the latest and fastest ever version of WorkNC. It makes use of 64-bit technology and enables users to use the parallel processing capabilities of multi-core computers achieving up to ten-fold increases in calculation speed. Other advances in the software that will be demonstrated at Euromold Brazil include automatic flat surface machining which recognizes and machines flat areas to shorten the cycle time and Global Finishing which produces an efficient climb milling path across both steep and shallow contoured areas.

WorkNC engineers will also demonstrate Auto 5, WorkNC’s easy to use 5-axis module which automatically converts 3-axis and 3+2 toolpaths to simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths and which has been adopted by a large number of OEMs around the world.

Collaboration amongst engineers in a company and its supply chain can produce huge benefits in speed of development, verification of manufacturing methods and the quality of the finished part. WorkXPlore 3D helps companies to achieve these goals with its ability to read and share CAD data from a wide range of leading design systems in a light and low cost environment. Version 3 of WorkXPlore 3D, which will be available in Portuguese, is a major new release that makes use of Brep technology, providing increased accuracy and enabling easy identification of edge conditions.

These advances produce significant improvements in the analysis of model data allowing engineers to check information such as volumes, dimensions and surface formations with unprecedented accuracy. STL files, for example, can be imported and rationalized into their constituent surfaces and edges, making it far easier for users to manipulate and interrogate the data. The new version also allows several models to be worked on in the same session, increasing its versatility. WorkXPlore 3D encourages both concurrent and collaborative working by allowing many more people to access design data simultaneously and can be evaluated free of charge in a 30 day trial at www.workxplore3d.com (available in Portuguese).

The launch of EuroMold Brazil is an exciting development for the tool and mold making industry in South America and provides companies with an ideal opportunity to experience the latest versions of WorkNC and WorkXPlore 3D to see how the new technology can benefit manufacturing productivity.
