Berkeley Design Automation Wins ISA Technovation Award

Company Selected For Innovations in Nanometer Circuit Verification Technology

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — December 16, 2011 — Berkeley Design Automation, Inc., provider of the world’s fastest nanometer circuit verification, today announced that it has been selected as a winner of the ISA Technovation Award (Dec 2011) in the Semiconductor (Intellectual Property) category by the India Semiconductor Association (ISA).

ISA is the premier trade body representing the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) industry. The Indian semiconductor design industry was estimated at US$ 7.5 billion in 2010 and is forecasted to grow at more than 17% every year. The ISA Technovation awards were instituted in 2007, and over the past 5 years have set high standards for innovation in the semiconductor industry. Berkeley Design Automation was selected winner of the 2011 ISA Technovation Award (Dec 2011) in the Semiconductor Intellectual Property category from a large field of multinational companies with R&D operations in India. This award is designed to identify the world-class intellectual property created by multi-national companies in India and the companies behind them.

“The ISA Technovation awards of December 2011 have been constituted with an aim to recognize and honor India’s best individual contributors and organizations that drive the semiconductor and ESDM industry forward,” said Mr. PVG Menon, President of ISA. “Berkeley Design Automation won this award as recognition of the company’s breakthrough leadership and technical innovation in nanometer circuit verification.”

“This is a very prestigious honor for Berkeley Design Automation,” said Ravi Subramanian, President and CEO of Berkeley Design Automation. “Winning the 2011 ISA Technovation Award is a testament to the world-class R&D operations at Berkeley Design Automation. It further validates our position as the nanometer circuit verification technology leader, with our flagship Analog FastSPICE Platform becoming the indispensable platform for nanometer analog, mixed-signal, and RF and custom design."
